"When we come back in December we will be shooting a short film and show it in Hollywood, to show the talent that’s here." That's the promise Ben has made to the numerous people who have helped him on his long journey in the film industry.
Ben fully realizes that he didn't get where he is by himself. Yes, he did the the hard work to get noticed, but he also had a supporting cast of many, who spoke the lines he wrote and became the vision of his movies. Now that he is on the west coast, working on major projects, figuring out how to become an "insider", he wants to keep those who have worked on his previous projects involved in his future. " I’ll never forget where I came from; I’ll never forget that," he says.
On December 20, 2007, Ben will be in Newark Delaware at the offices of A&B Talent (15 Prestbury Square Building, Newark, DE 19713 (302) 838-9700). He will be looking to cast for a comedy short he is shooting, which is yet to be named. The short film will deal with the types of situations actors, singers and dancers encounter in the audition process. "It’s a comedy about what happens in the casting calls and what happens when you leave the room." Ben laughs as he tells of the subject.
Auditions for the short film is open to all.
The short will be filmed in 4 days starting on December 28th, 2007.
