Ben Foster was invited to speak at the Black Enterprise Conference in Charlette North Carolina recently. "It is the nation's largest black business conference where black professionals, business owners, and corporate sponsors come together to exchange ideas and celebrate successes. It's where deals are made!", says the statment on its homepage.
To be asked to present at the conference is quite an acheivement for Ben. He was asked some questions about his experience there:
Q: What did you get out of attending the Black Enterprise Entreprenuer Conference?
I enjoyed being around many other great Entreprenuers. Some of the people I had a chance to meet there were Al Sharten, Kirk Franklin, Christopher Gardner, and many others. What I learned at the event was that no matter what your age is, you can start a business.
Q: What did you accomplish while you were at the conference?
I got a chance to network, seen "Kirk Franklin" in concert, learned things to help enhance my business through workshops and I helped other young entreprenuers start a clothing line. I also had a chance to speak to the Teenprenuers about how I got started in business.
As a speaker, I felt important and as though that I had an inspiring story that could help other youth that wanted to start their business. I enjoyed sharing the presentaion and it feels good to know that the youth enjoyed it as well.
I believe that the [other] kids learned from my presentation, because I recieved alot of good feedback.
